My entire work experience has been closely linked to Asian countries.
I have been in charge of a HK sales branch for a French consumer goods company from 1998 to 2002.
I then worked 5 years in France to develop a sales program out of the Far East, aimed at European countries. I travelled in almost all Asian countries, including Japan, South Korea, Singapore, Taiwan, ... and I supervised a sales office in Shanghai for few years.
Later in the U.S, the whole production of the company I worked for was completed in Asia, so it is for the Canadian manufacturer I am currently with.
I have gained through these experiences and through frequent travels in the region a solid know how, and understanding of the Asian cultures. I have built a comprehensive network of customers and suppliers that I am able to bring to any organization dealing with China.
Here below is a link to an interview realized few years ago with Web Magazine “Objectif-Chine.com” specialized in the Trade relations with China.

Recommandation from a former colleague at Wham-O
Here is another recommandation, more recent, from Mark Hagen, a former colleague at Wham-O. We both left Wham-O last year after the company downsized. Mark has been a great colleague, talented and experimented expert for the categories of products he managed.
He is also a restless snowboard addicted.. great asset for product testing!
“Working with Karl at Wham-O was pleasure and I learned quite a bit from his guidance during his tenure. His thorough and detailed work and leadership thorough the process at both the product and financial aspects of the development cycle was invaluable. Additional insight into the industry, globally, helped the department and company as a whole grow and become stronger through his leadership.” May 30, 2008

Recommandation from a former colleague at Berchet
Following is a recommandation from Thomas Le Paul, a former colleague at Berchet. While I was in charge of the HK office, Thomas was running the Italian Branch.
“I have been working for 4 years with KS as a branch manager. KS was then in charge of the FOB HK program. He developed a profitable and progressive sales activity and has always been very supportive of the branch business. He worked tirelessly, and his language skills and cultural background made him an ideal interface with overseas sales, vendors and sources. Karl is a constant example of excellence, attention to detail, organization and diligence in all of his work. He approaches new projects with teachability and a can-do attitude. He is a blessing to work with.” I would wholeheartedly recommend Karl to any organization looking for expertise, professionalism and creativity in international sales and marketing development.” June 1, 2008
Thomas is now the new C.E.O of Smoby toys International, the French leading manufacturer.

To know a little more about me
I was born in the east of France (Oyonnax), between Lyon and Geneva, in 1973.
My parents are both native to the region of Bordeaux. My father is a cardiologist and my mother a Pharmacist. I have one elder sister, and one younger brother.
I have a deep interest in international cultures, and this has continuously been a key factor in my personnal and professional life. I speak several languages. French is my native language. English is my working language and I am also fluent in Spanish. I am a beginner in Chinese (Cantonese).
I am passionated about Arts and Music. I was the Vice-President of the Arts Association of my Business School AUDENCIA Nantes between 1995 and 1998. and founded a Wine testing club and a Sculpture club, as long as a Choir of Singers.
I have been recently a member of a Choir in San Francisco. I play the Piano and Saxophone.
I like practicing every kind of sports. I love water skiing, snowboarding, alpine hiking and volley-ball.
A large part of my available time is dedicated to a passion shared with my fiancee: travels through photography.
